I'm almost ashamed to admit owning this:



It's a Russian 'Tonika' guitar, which, amazingly, turned up on ebay about eighteen months ago. Truly awful in every respect, and a head-turner for all the wrong reasons. It comes in a Burberry-pattern soft case with a cyrillic label, which must be original.

Good heavens! If it's anything like Russian cameras though, you could probably knock nails in with it & it would still work

Too right! It was probably intended to double up as an all-purpose agricultural labourer's implement. I think there are parts from failed Soyuz space craft in there. It certainly sounds like it came from outer space.
