Just thought I'd post a mention to Busker Guitars in Wales, who have just suplied me with a new acoustic metal bodied resonator guitar.

It is a MM Blues with 14 frets to the bell brass body. It has a great greyburst paint job, and a lovely chunky neck. Busker Guitars make resonators in small quantities, which are pretty near as dammit to old National guitars. They have broad chunky necks, loud cones fitted, slotted headstocks, and mine is superb throughout. Loud, toneful, easy to play, and has that classic "valvey" acoustic resonator tone which is missing from so many budget resonators.

No affiliation to Busker Guitars but I am so impressed by this one, I just had to tell others. Sure they are a bit more expensive than the £200 resoantors that are ten a penny on eBay, but they are a world apart, and have had some serious expertise behind their design and construction.

Mine gets better each time I play it. It sounds good in both open tunings and standard, and with and without a slide as well. It doesnt seem to suffer from the banjo tone that cheap resos have when played in standard tuning.

Mine is a matt grey-burst one, and I wish I could post pics of it up on this forum.

Getting a lot of playing time at the moment

I keep getting asked if I can "Turn it down a bit"

Just thought I'd post a pic or two of mine, seeing as I have just got the hang of this PhotoBucket lark.

As you can see in the background, theres are my two other passions;- small valve amps, and French wine!
