The lead singer in the support band tonight had an acoustic guitar - just like any other acoustic guitar - except it had a sort of a metal cup or dome behind the strings where the hole usually is................ what does this do? Richard's acoustic guitars don't have that feature as far as I'm aware.........

they are used to stop feedback when acoustic guitars are plugged in!!
you can get amplifiers with anti feedback devices, and if the sound guy's good and knows what he's doing you don't really need one!
