got one of these today, Squier Classic Vibe Tele...
cost me just under £240, these 'classic vibe' series are based on the first Squiers to come out (the JV series), fantastic value for money,it's a pine body with a sort of white blonde finish (you can see the grain through the body) the neck is a belter, slight gloss finish, medium profile frets, a dream to play and even better than the necks on mex telecasters.
straight out of the box it's set up perfectly, and plugged in it sounds absolutely fantastic. looking forward to gigging it this weekend!
theres a load of people on the telecaster forum (tdpri) raving about these too.

My workhorse guitar is a squire tele. It was a weird custom line that they made, retailed for about €550. I'm still amazed it's so good for a squire, never had any bother at all. Best of luck with your new one, looks lovely.

Squiers have made some ace guitars. my dad had a JV series 50's strat, got rid of it when i just bought my Tokai, if i'd have known he was selling it i'd have had it!, my first strat was a Squier silver series, got it around 94/5, lovely guitar. still got it now and it gets gigged regular.
Really impressed with the tele, gave it some hammer last night and it's stillin tune this morning!

it's fantastic Martin,
it's the guitar thats always kept downsatirs at hand, so i've been giving it some serious hammer lately.
When i play with my band my number one guitar is a Tokai strat which sounds amazing, i've gigged the Tele a few times now and hardly touched the Tokai, i think i've got used to the Tele's bite now, i broke the top e string a few weeks ago and replace the set with some d'addario 10's, which i whise that i'd kept with the 9's as it suits the tele more. (usually use 11's on the strat).
been playing it through one of them boss/fender bassman pedals and it sounds amazing., also i think that it's changed my playing a bit..i want to put in all country licks all the time!
highly reccomended.
here's it in action.

I got one of these off ebay the other weekend for £120. 8) !!!

It arrived yesterday.

New set of 10s strings and a white pickguard later (to offset the yellowish colour a bit), it was good to go.

It now joins my 3 other MIM Teles.

With the newer Classic Vibe Custom out now, the CV50s seem to be selling used for some good prices now.
