Nice Rick there Ronp. I read that Peter Buck has a wider neck on his 360/6 and puts really heavy gauge strings on it. Scott Mcaughey reckoned it was horrible for him to play but PB seems to have made it work!

Yep, a lot of players cann't handle the Ricks narrow neck [esp the 12 string] and give up or modify.
I reckon it's a discipline thing really ... I'm finding for chords the need for tighter finger grouping and more perpendicular to the fretboard, also really short nails. In some chords I'm resisting using two fingers instead of three as the habit will no doubt carry over to my accoustic [with resultant duff chords].

The flat wound strings are going on the Rick today along with a truss rod tune up.
