Eddie shredding - it is I believe his most famed song for unwashed teenagers to spend hours locked in their bedrooms trying to perfect.

Telecasters are the best IMO, you cant beat a good Tele.

I'll post pics when it arrives and gets spruced up. :D

You can do all sorts of things to a Tele too.

Ive got another Tele just arrived, got it on ebay. An MIM Standard for £150 with a case. Its going to get fettled up tomorrow, turned into an Esquire, I'll post pics when its done.

If you want Tele love, bordering on Tele obsession, visit www.tdpri.com

Theres Teles on there that will blow your mind  :*:

And here it is.

Including case (but arrived with only its case for protection. Only thing securing it was the combination lock  )

Decided to turn it into an Esquire, with a stacked humbucker pickup and vintage bridge I had lying around.

Took off the gummy old strings, and prepared for surgery!!!
Image

Vintage style bridges are a direct fit onto MIM Standards, wired up the pickup to give three different tones from the two coils with the 3 way switch.

Then added a nice pearl white pickguard, I also have had for a while.

Set of 11s, set up, and it sounds and plays great

Teles and Esquires are wonderful guitars :D

I actually think that apart from the classic butterscotch/blackguard look, the midnight wine colour is the sexiest shade that Fender do. I like it better than the candy apple red one to be honest.

It goes well with many pickguard colours (black/pearl/white/cream/mint) and also looks great with either maple or rosewood necks, something that a lot of other Fender colours dont.

I have a vintage white tele, that is too white to go with a blackguard at the moment. Maybe over time it will yellow a bit, but for now it looks better to me with the tan guard than a black one.

Call me shallow, but my Teles have to look right to me as well as play right.

I had a nice Squier Standard, which played great, had a nice neck, and pickups, superb action. BUT it was this funny antique sunburst which I never took to, couldnt find a pickguard to suit it and improve it, so I didn't play it that much :( . So I sold it.

very nice, i was tempted to turn my Classic Vibe Squier into an Esquire, but it sounds great as it is.
Might change the pickguard at some point though.
