The new digital spring reverb emulations are really good. Many boutique makers base them on the same component, known as the Belton brick. I've got a really good one called Malekko Spring Chicken. There are some really good clips on YouTube if anyone wants a listen. Check out the ones from ProGuitarShop.

(A lot less to carry than a big tube reverb unit).
