I'm looking for some tough foam, I think it's sometimes called ethafoam, for lining the inside of a pedal case and for raising some pedals up a little. Ordinary foam is too springy, this stuff is more like plastic. Ideally about 1.5" deep.

I've tried the foam shop on London road, as wellas various B&Q type places. Any bright ideas?

How about those cheap closed cell foam pads that camping shops sell? They're around 5mm thick I think and are quite dense rather than squashy.

If you know any upholsterers or coachbuilders ask where they get their supplies from. I remember years ago going with my dad to this factory that did all kinds of foam, but that's probably not much good to you as it's in Ireland.

I work in B&Q and it's usually only in on promotions from time to time unfortunately.

Going slightly off topic here but this has reminded me of something. Does anybody know what B&Q actually stands for? My God-daughter asked 4 different members of staff in the Old Kent Road branch yesterday and none of them had the foggiest! Mr Noir - can you help? I thought it might be Bargains & Quality??!

It's named after the blokes who founded it I think. Block and Quayle.

I Just looked it up on wikipedia. :study:

Block and Quale or something, the guys who founded it. A customer phoned me up in work one day to ask. My life is so glam.
