Hi Richard what pedals are floating your boat right now.....

Do you ever use Multi Effects?.

Has anyone used the Line 6 M13, what do they think of it?

Thank you

What tones are you after? if you are after summat like Richard's tone on the earlier albums then a Delay / Reverse pedal and Tremelo are a must. add a decent drive pedal and you are nearly there.
Not tried the M13, but i have a couple of line 6 pedals on my board (Echo Park does an ace slapback, and the Space Chorus has a great Vibrato effect). the cheaper M6 looks a good pedal to start off with.
Went off multi fx after getting a shitty Zoom pedal when i was younger. Line 6 seem to be doing things right tho.

Argh..... I just don't know what to do/buy, I had a Zoom got rid of it, then got a Boss Multi effects, and I didn't get on with either of them, what I don't want us all the crappy american metal sounds, im really not too sure what to buy. I suppose you get an artist in mind and try to copy their sound?.

the best thing i think to do is to think about rather than just one sound or artist- think about all the many sounds and effects that you like and would like to incorporate into your playing- from there you can start making a more considered approach to what you want - getting what is more necessary first (for what you want to achieve) and then progressing on to the icing on the sound cake as budget allows- things like reverb and trem and overdrive/distortion can also be acheieved with amplifiers to an extent if youre looking at a more simple sound rather than a psychedelic enslaught

It appears to be a Boss reverb pedal. It's either the Boss RV-5 or the discontinued RV-3.

It's all in the ear of the listener, but I beg to differ. I've got a line6 M13 and it's awesome through a marshall JMP1 and power amp. Then there's the programmability, the flexibility, the 3 grands worth of vintage sounds in one box, etc. etc.

Not sure if it's the same bit of kit as Richard's but there's a 1970's Ross distortion pedal on Ebay at the moment.
