Hi all,

I need a new challenge musically rather than just 6 or 12 strings and after becoming mildly adept at the ukulele (!) I'm thinking of next taking up the tenor guitar. The late Jason Molina used them a lot and they sound good to me. Trouble is I've never played (or for that matter seen) one - has anybody played them and got any recommendations, likes/dislikes?

Thanks!

I heard they're a good songwriting tool

He also plays what I first thought was an electric uke when I saw them but it turns out its a fender mandocaster, electric mandolin :)

So why are tenor guitars so good for song writing?

Is it a tenor guitar that was used on Remorse Code?

Was with Shez on Saturday night at yellow arch - what an absolutely top bloke he is. Please remind him to check out John Martyn's version of Glory Box as we were discussing it (amongst many other things!) ..>
