Not the recorded version (think its slide or lapsteel) but what richard plays on Hotel Room live starts something like:

b string 3rd fret, slide to 15th fret, pick the note again twice with loads of vibrato.

then its 16th fret on the g string (take it down a semitone with bigsby, then waggle the fucker about)

Then play around with em shape (I think) around the 12/15th fret.

The solo has loads of vibrato and bigsby action, a very nice lick is the slide up from 13/14th fret b and g string up to the 15/16th fret and back.

Probably not much help, but might get you started, remember to strike a suitable rock good pose for the initial slide

I recently mastered Back to the Old House by The Smiths - not much to do with this thread admittedly, but hey ho, I'm proud of myself anyway. (where's that smug smiley?)

Remorse Code....

Absolutely beautiful song.
I play it over and over staring into space.

please help with chords or solos for a very amateur guitarist to play along to it.

Just love everything Hawley - Elvis would have sung your work

From memory it's D, G and A for the start anyway. then A, E, D, Bm for the take me with you part. Give it a go, If no one posts a better reply by next week i'll figure it out properly.

There's a Storm a Comin' - new version

Is it as simple as

A - G - F# - F - G - G# - A

for the main bit, if you see what I mean (sounds a bit like Glory Box by Portishead?)

Wouldn't mind some help on the solo squiggly bits (think that's the technical term)

Its it just messing about in A?

I'm not very good not he guitar so please be gentle

p.s its definitely my favourite RH tune - we need more with loud squiggly guitar bits in
