After some years of toiling with a Telecaster I've decided-it was never an ideal choice in the first place; a Strat would be no better. I chose it because of people I saw and liked. It has it's uses but 18 months ago I bought an SG or SG style guitar, and it just feels better. It comes down to scale length, string tension and string spacing.; key points. The Strat and the Tele are perhaps the most popular on the planet, but not right for everyone...

I love Tele's. But never liked Strats.
The Tele has a bite I love and think the design is perfect.

And yes, SGs. Great guitars. The SG was the first guitar I held that "felt" right.
Until I got hold of a 6120!

Since posting this I've actually grown to like my Tele more..I tried a Strat. I mentioned elsewhere, those in between tones bridge /middle-neck/middle I don't like much of the time..you heard them a lot in the 80s and with people like Stevie Ray vaughan..

I've got a Tele and a Strat - I find the Tele better for rhythm - it just feels more solid - whereas the Strat is better for noodling.
