Jesus, you'd be less than pleased, wouldn't you?

& I thought it was bad when my aunt was getting an operation on her toe & looked down to see them prepping the wrong leg for surgery. Then they argued with her that they were right.

Just was at a hospital yesterday, and it's unreal how many times they now ask the patient to confirm which side. And they write in pen right on your skin, "yes". Didn't make me feel confident, in fact it was upping my worry level more each time. If they could make a damn fool mistake like that...what else could happen? And do they mean her right or the doctor's right...the more the medication sunk in, I could see her ponder that one more.

And the thing was...they nearly made a medication mistake, perhaps lost in all the worry not to make the wrong side one. It went well...but oh, all my love to anyone going through any of this...and I will never understand why someone would choose to do it only for looks.

Wonder if the doctors write 'anus' next to your bum , just in case they get mixed up with the belly button ? :*:

I dunno, sounds like she got a good deal. A brand new arse plus compensation... and the original operation she needed. It's like a twisted version of the Generation Game. Lucky girl! ;)
