Hadn't heard this had happened. :pale:
From Wikipedia:

On 13 June 2008, Ian Brown was dragged from the stage by a member of the crowd whilst performing at Sheffield's Carling Academy, hitting his head on the concrete floor. He was rushed to hospital where he received 10 stitches to a head wound, but was well enough to perform at the Isle of Wight Festival the following night.

Whoever it was that pulled him off the stage (was it you, hoy?!) was possibly luckier than this guy:

Oooo-errr that's a nasty bit of footage. I saw I.B at Eden a couple of years ago & he was very, very good indeed, probably one of the best gigs I've been to. Having said that, I have heard that he's a bit hit & miss live, that piece of footage looks like one of the misses. Cracking front man though when he's on song and he sang in tune all night from what I can remember.

It's going to take me a long time to get that image, associated with I.B., out of my mind. :pale:
Sheer mindless violence.

It is quite frightening isn't it.

Was in Manchester during the whole 'madchester' phase and whilst I love a bit of civic pride, and adore the city, it wasn't always pretty. Had a friend who's female housemate was part of PR for one to-remain-nameless manc band of the time and came back talking about how one of the blokes had taken a baseball bat to his girlfriend but it was alright "because she deserved it" ...  ... but of course.

Oy boy, if you were in my house I'd take more than a baseball bat to you :*:

I wonder if sometimes people talk through gigs to show indifference to the artist; like they want to show that they are too cool or jaded about what's happening on stage. Hawley took care of some a-holes at a show in Hollywood a few years ago.
