Post subject:  Recording & stuff

Apologies in advance, as this is on here somewhere already, but it's well worth another look I reckon. I've only just printed it out & read it properly. Much of the technical stuff is over my head, but I can now go some way to understanding what makes the 'Hawley Sound', and, also, it explains to me why that sound appeals to me so much. The equipment & instruments used & the principles of the players echo my own (purely layman's) opinions of what I want music to sound like. It's the difference between hearing a BSA Gold Star & a plastic scooter.
