Not intelligent enough? You are right in the middle of it all and state your case eloquently and passionately.

I am hoping.... Praying. Please, please let social justice win.

Very pleased with the results last night. The nasty party having to get in to bed with the nastiest party of them all to keep their shaky hand on power. I would've liked to have won but Labour's decimation at the last election in Scotland makes it a long road to climb. My prediction? May will soon be gone and we'll have another General Election by October. Left have to organise and have conversations around who best defeats the Tories in different areas.

My MP is IDS. Our seat has been held by the Tories for 80 years, by Winston Churchill, Norman Tebbit and IDS. Last night, with a 15 per cent swing to Labour, we made it a marginal. Next election will be his Portillo moment. We're coming for him. I suggest, wherever you lot are, you do the same.

Thursday was uplufting. I still have a far too comfortable Tory MP but there has been a change in tone about what might be possible and also the public perception of Jeremy Corbyn despite dopey fuckers like Chris Leslie and the heart attack in waiting Alistair Campbelk. The turnaround is remarkable andthe media in general is having to re-assess where it actually fits in to the whole process. It's an ongoing campaign until we do have another election and time for Labour of all shades to get behind its leader

And I'd urge anyone who isn't a member to join up and help. On line and for as little as a pound. x

I hope so Helen. We have our own wild horses to ride over leaving Europe mind. The traditional Labour vote in Brexit areas is crucial to a Labour government but Labour also needs to support a more positive attitude to Europe.

At the very least that bungling fucker Johnson mifht just have buggered himself.

Keep faith

Oh I think we mostly do Helen, the old intensity of the forum has gone as part of the change in communication and there are fewer posts and visits as a consequence.

Keep your ire, enthusiasm and belief in something better. Here's hoping for a change!

I remain a Facebook/Twitter/Smartphone refusenik to the consternation and despair of my children (especially the phone bit) and the amusement of just about everyone else.

Twitter is awful at the moment. Full of hate, bile and division - not to mention trolling bots. I try and avoid it, or just retweet and run and block. Can't watch the BBC News either - it's become a Tory propaganda outlet. Bring on 12th December. If everything goes tits up, I can see myself leaving the country and decamping to Germany.

Very sadly this is demonstrably true. Apart from the emphasis and order of the news stories there are lots of little asides that are loaded with meaning. Very depressing.

Sent an email to my friend in Rheinland-Pfalz this morning to send me local property ads and have contacted an estate agent over a property for sale in the same area.
