I'm really pissed off and fed up. Despite being in my early 30s and not elderly I fell over a week ago and bruised my knee and lower leg quite badly. Spent most of yesterday getting worried about my lower shin getting red and inflamed so went to the docs and have some anti inflammatories which are starting to work. Then this morning I go and fall over again. This doesn't sound like a huge problem, but I'm reeeeaaallly fed up with feeling frail and completely stupid and clumsy and ridiculous. I'm starting to wonder if I should even be allowed out in public to be honest. :x :(

could it be anythin to do with your balance? - did you have your ears checked? i know it sounds a bit mad but its a possibility :?

not to trivialise your problem, i am totally clumsy, always breakin stuff and crashin into things. so ladylike, me

Thanks, worth thinking about. I'm usually a little bit clumsy, but in a normal way, like crashing into things and dropping things, but falling over is a new one for me. I'm sure I fell over today coz I'm limping and hobbling a bit, and my balance isn't fantastic....

Poor you Lizzy,
Have you tried arnica gel? very good for bruising, works a treat - local health food shops should stock it and possibly the chemists.

Thanks sunflower, catsandbooks and Baroness! :) I might check out arnica for my bruises.... Its annoying how much this has affected my confidence, I'm walking so slowly and carefully today, convinced I'm going to fall over again. :( Didn't realise how shaken I was by this morning....

Lizzy, sorry to hear of your mishaps and all that - hope your confidence (and balance) are soon back in order. But I've just noticed your signature - in the circumstances I think it might be time to return that other man's shoes to their rightful owner and go back to wearing your own!

Lizzy I totally sympathise - it has taken me ages to literally get back on my feet after breaking my leg very badly a year ago. A lot of it is confidence - you're probably subconciously walking differently since you've been in pain and that might be throwing you over a bit and making you less steady. It's horrible but it will get better. Hang in there!

Lizzy - put your feet up, chill, listen to your Hawley Music - all will be right with the world and you'll soon be better x

Sorry to hear about your mishap Lizzie and that you are low.Maybe you need a full medical just to check everything out - fingers crossed it was just a one off event .

Also, thanks to Barney for making me laugh out loud!! Obviously the shoes don't fit!! :D

Well, I'm a bit late, but I hope you're feeling better soon. Hawley collection works every time. xx
