To get this thread back on erm track, if that's the right word... ...The father of my ex-girlfriend went out to the pub one christmas eve, while his wife got the kids to bed and wrapped all of the presents. She arranged them neatly under the tree and went to bed. He got absolutely trolleyed and was making a right racket when he got home. His wife got downstairs just as he was chucking up over the presents. I know it isn't funny in any way but...I couldn't not laugh when the ex told me. Another time, many years later, when he had remarried, his new wife's family were coming round to meet him for the first time and he was warned to behave and not get hammered. Inevitably, the wine was flowing and he disappeared from the meal table. A member of his wife's family walked into the kitchen to find him on his hands and knees being sick into the cat's food bowl. I think maybe he had a problem. |
