when i was in whitby yesterday, i was in a shop and a woman's mobile went off. my jaw hit the floor in astonishment that she had the brass balls to have 'you're beautiful' - james blunt as her ring tone.

i mean, she was fat, ugly and wearing polyester so surely her life was bad enough without drawing unnecessary attention to her shite taste in music?!

i have coles corner as my text message tone. very soothing. i had 'fuel' - metallica and 'goddamn' - hellyeah before but i shit my pants every time somebody txt me.

so, fellow forumers, what's your ringtone/txt tone and why?

Hey mph that's not very nice - beauty is in the eye of the beholder! :*:

I have the second solo of Dark Road (Richard of course) from the Buxton gig earlier this year - Palerider kindly isolated it for me so I could use it - (with Richard's permission)........... :D

Why? Cos I love it!

Trouble is I don't like answering the phone - I'd rather hear the ring tone!

I resisted .... mainly because the polyester is pretty unforgivable ... worse than Blunt who I'll admit to quite liking but perhaps got overplayed

I have silent, no vibrate as my default if I ever have it switched on. If I'm really wanting a call I have it on vibrate

I don't use ringtones but assign songs

Cousteau Have you Seen Her for text messages
Cousteau Last Good Day of the Year for incoming calls from people I have not allocated an individual ring tone
Assorted Hawley or Cousteau for members of my office for when they phone with an excuse for their lateness each morning
Forum members I am in touch with get Richardsongs and friends from the Cousteai side have Cousteau songs (except Liam where naturally I use one of his own songs)

I hate the ringtones that come with phones, I could never remember who was who from that so it has to be music.

My ringtone is Wonderful Land by The Shadows and text message is Southparks Cartman saying "How would you like to suck my balls Mr Garrison".
It has caused acute embarrasment on occasion ie. Tesco, bosses office, christening's you know how it is.

Ah, that would be telling. Actually there's no particular reason for any of them, just depended on which song was not already allocated.

Don't have my new mobile that long, but before that, my ringtone was The First of the Gang to Die by Morrissey (obv  ).

My current ring tone is an old-fashioned phone ring sound that just came with the phone, because my downloaded Morrissey ringtone (which I ended up paying a fortune for because I was ripped off til I managed to get it stopped! ) didn't transfer across.
 I miss it!

My text sound is just bleep-bleep-bleep!!!
Fascinating!

Think you should allocate The Baroness 'Naked in Pitsmoor' because when I was chauffeuring her round Sheffield she saw the sign for Pitsmoor and was definitely up for it :*:
