How about you teach Dave the accent (and how to play guitar), change your name to Sharon, then you have Shaz 'n' Dave, ready to take the clubland tribute act circuit by storm???

Have they moved your waste paper bin 2 foot to the left? :?

i have a daily challenge throwing paper into the bin, if they move it then it's more of a challenge, it's one of the two things i enjoy about work.

Well, i have been made redundant, or rather i will be. I've been given a date of 1st April to leave, will officially be given notice in January.

Thats quite good as i have plenty of time to consider what i want to do with myself and also i will get next years bonus and shares which will equate to about another grand (aslong as the shares go back up).

I will be doing the same job until that date so i'm more than happy.

In my experience, it's a relief when you actually know what's happening. All the months of indecision and uncertainty can really get you down. Good luck in your decision making and I'm glad you've got a bit of a breathing space so you don't have to just leap at the first thing that comes. It'll be great if you can find a job that really gives you the chance to use the skills you most enjoy using. All the best! ..>

We were all given our six-month notice letters in June so we can officially take redundancy in January if we don't want to move to Coventy. I've gone on a 'one year trial' though so I've got more time to think about what I want to do ... I'm in a real dilemma about options so just go through stages of ignoring it all. :?

Really helps if you know exactly what you want to do and can get the timing right ... so hope you're still looking out for interesting jobs boyhoy.

You mean a teacher?

I'm joking but worth thinking about ... four years training but well worth it ... and I reckon you'd be good with the little ones, because you're right silly ... but watch the language. Think about it, take the financial hit now and reap the benefits of a rewarding job later.

Juniors are too old for you boyhoy, they'd show you up with their maturity  I meant pre-school or infant! You'd have great fun ... ... although you'd have to deal with damp pants, the little ones don't always have full control or know how to find the toilets. :*:

Magicians like clowns are scary ... and it doesn't give you a regular income ... remember you need that garden for baby-hoy and a rabbit in a hat doesn't count.

Well, i've been umming and arring the last few weeks over what to do, i looked into teaching and i might end up doing a 3-4 year course which at the moment is too long, i looked at physio which again is the same length, something i'd defo do in future......

So where does that leave me...... the current thing is get another job until september then i'm looking at doing a plastering course probably, i'll need to learn to drive at the same time! This all depends on course timings and our lass getting a job like.
