It used to be the birds singing at midnight, due to their being fooled it was daylight by the bloody security lighting at the school over the road

This forum now keeps me awake, because if I wasn't looking forward to getting on here I'd be asleep in my chair by 9.30

Coffee doesn't keep me awake. A walk in the fresh air is the best way for me to keep awake.

Oh Lofty that reminds me of something really wonderful.
When I lived in Germany.well one evening we went to the Gewandhouse in Leipzig to a classical music concert.....When the concert had finished we made our way outside and it was snowing,we had to catch a tram so walked along for a while.....we stood to wait ...it was really almost silent, you know like it is in the snow.....and then just above us a blackbird started singing,he was standing just under the street light...................and I guess in his mind it was morning.I remember looking up and all the snow was falling onto my face and I could just see his little silhouette and he was singing away....it was a truly lovely end to a romantic evening.......................

That's a nice thing to happen.

Being in London I don't often hear the sound of birds singing - I was on the phone to a friend in Australia last week and he was outdoors and there was the most gorgeous sound of birdsong in the background. I made him hold the phone nearer the birds so I could listen for a few seconds.

i love it when you wake up, like 10 minutes before the alarm goes off, what you meant to do there, i won't get back to sleep but i treat the alarm with some sort of milatry respect and i won't get up before it goes off.

I defo locked the door last night!

Our cat was in training for the Krypton Factor assualt course last night an all!

Nowt keeps me awake. I dozed off last night at 8pm cuddling my baby boy on our bed and woke up 11 hours later. Glorious.

I nodded off twice at the theatre a few weeks ago.

Hey, I could even fall asleep in a cave in the middle of winter!

I wish I could wake up 10 minutes before the alarm! I woke up at 4 this morning ... and there were no cats to blame it on.

Worrying about getting up and driving across to Coventry usually does it for me as well. Hate the cross-country drive in the dark.

Christ, that's a really awful thing to happen - hope things work out.
