Tonight Depeche Mode debuted their new single at the Echo awards, live from Berlin. I can put up with U2, tolerate Katy Perry, scratch my arse during Razorshite and laugh like a drain at Lionel Richtea's face... but HOLY FUCKING JUMPING SHITBALLS if the bloody thing didn't drag on for very nearly three hours, with approximately a thousand interminable awards given to fat men in lederhosen. My back is screwed from having to hunch over the computer squinting at a cigarette-packet-sized internet stream, before the mighty DM appeared and had to mime their way through three minutes, which for some reason the director decided was best shot from a wide-angle from the back of the bloody arena. Fuck-a-doodle-do. |
