Manchester Academy to be more precise. Just tried buying a ticket for a gig on Wednesday. £1.50 booking fee which is par for the course, as a p&p fee would be if they were actually posting tickets to you. But they still want to charge me £1.75 p&p even though my only delivery option is to collect tickets on the door! Robbing bastards.

In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

They are total rip off merchants. It's bad enough they charge a fuck load for licking a stamp and even that is self stick these days but when they charge for each ticket as well.....my language can only be intemperate.....

Come the revolution......it'll be wall and gun for these people - my solution to everything

You should report them to Trading Standards. It's not the amount, its the principle!

just checking my charges for Decemberists tickets booked online.

£18.50 per ticket. On top of that there is an order processing fee of £2.25 & a seperate service charge of £2.50 and that is all per ticket. They might have sent a fuckin bloke in a balaclava and be done with it.

The percentage of the surcharges seems to be getting higher with every gig. Infuriates me :x

I wonder will they start going the Ryanair route and charge people extra for priority entry into the venues ?

has anybody else notice that when buying beer at gigs the plastic cups are getting smaller and the price is getting more expensive, is that just here ? is it just me, being greedy ?

I think Ticketmaster must take the prize on this one - and I really should have known better! For Richard's gig in York they charged a £4.00 per ticket service charge and then £3.25 for printing out my own tickets!!

No! That must equate to about 33% of the ticket price????

Ticketbastard - somtimes you just have to go with them - otherwise the answer is to buy direct from the venue Liverpool Manchester and Birmingham charged an extra quid [or there abouts] and posted them out to you first class for Richards tour.

Yes, my own fault, I suppose (well - up to a point). I only used them because tickets went on sale when I was on holiday in Canada and I'd stayed up till some silly hour because of the time difference (a few too many glasses of wine may have affected my judgement as well, I think :? !).

They do have a reputation for ripping people off (b**tards!)
