I'm not shopping in any shops again this year. Presents for Mum on the internet, and obligatory biscuits & booze from the Co-op for the folks at work. Reluctantly went into town on saturday just before the shops closed - so it would be quiet, in the hope of getting a couple of things quickly. Didn't realise it was the Christmas lights switch on  Squawking children & surly parents all over the place - and nowhere to park. Aarrggh

You thinking of spending some money??!!!!!

Ooooh! The German Christmas Market opened in Edinburgh yesterday, so I'll be down there this weekend to get some authentic Bratkartoffeln and Gluhwein, yummy! I lived in Germany for over 8 years and there's lots of things I miss.

We've got one in the Toon, you can get a massive carrier bag of salami and stuff for a tenner.

I'll be playing hide the sausage all weekend :rendeer:

We have a German Market in Wakefield at the moment, that said i have never seen anything as un-german in my life. English chavvies running stalls selling ecoli sausages, 1 stall selling erm chips & 10 other stalls selling absolute toss. The Leeds one is ok though, not as big as the Manchester one but still a bit more authentic than the Wakey debacle.

I saw 6 of the 7 dwarves today in Sheffield, just going into the Lyceum, that filled me with cheer. Didn't see Toyah tho which was a shame :?

Remarkably, we are all ready! Presents bought and wrapped, cards posted, booze stocked up, Turkey ordered and decorations & Christmas lights adorn the house! :D
By the time Christmas Day arrives the euphoria will probably have worn off. Still we have have the "Castleton Experience" next weekend to re-kindle the any fading of the Festive spirit. :santa: :rendeer:

I wonder what Carols we will singing this time?
