Yep it is a couple of weeks too early...but they are nice

I was amazed yesterday and today whilst in a Card shop to hear Xmas carols being played , it is now the 16th November , with at least 5 weeks to go , anyone else think its far too early , i admit i am grumpy old man nowadays but the same songs every year gets on my nerves , a few years ago they banned radios at work , xmas is the only time i'm glad they did . |

I have seen my first set of Christmas lights  Those manic flashing ones that give you a nervous breakdown - in every window of the house. Thankfully not visible from my house.

I love Xmas and am very excited this year cos our son is understanding it more and with the new baby it will be lovely  but I am sick of seeing the adverts that have been on since October  on one of the music channels they have Xmas songs on all day and I too have seen lights up....................it's way too early!!!!!

Me too; We used to take our summer holidays late in September a few years ago, and was sickened by the amount of Christmas stuff in the shops when we arrived home. No need for any of it until the first week in December IMHO. Cheers, Steve. |

Xmas should be confined to December. When I worked for a nameless large hotel chain we had to promote Christmas 'activities' from when the brochure came out in about August, inciting rioting and near violence from elderly customers. |

I've decided to play them at their own game. For the past week whenever I go to the check out in Tesco I've been wishing the staff a Merry Christmas as I leave. To be honest only one person has bit and said "a bit early isn't it?" - to which I took great pleasure in replying "well, you started it!".
