As if the whole News of the World/Sun phone hacking thing isn't bad enough, the relationship between the Met police and the Sun is just disgusting. Stories about Murdoch using huge sums of cash to buy favours with top officials in return for them tipping the paper off about cases they were working on. Sun journalists turning up with the police when they were arresting people. And now there's the fucking horse! The police, lending Rebekah Brooks a horse, just cos she liked riding – even though her husband is a racehorse trainer, you'd think he might have a few hanging about without her having to ask the MFP. Then when she gives the horse back, it's fit for the knackers yard. It's like some mad, mad story that you couldn't make up if you tried. It's so bent, it's not true. x |
