Here we go again!
I know this is nothing in the grand scheme of things, but I just want to highlight this, so indulge me. I was driven into on a roundabout this evening, basically the whole drivers side smashed to pieces, I am definitely not at fault, okay, trust me.
Turns out the guy shouldn't even be driving the vehicle in the first place, as he openly admits to me he only has a provisional license. (There is no passenger in his vehicle and no 'L' plates)
That's just brilliant, because now he's technically uninsured, so the hire car I would have been getting tomorrow will not materialize because "Well, how will we recover the cost of that".
So in spite of my 100% legal insurance cover and innocent of blame, (trust me), I have no transport thanks to some idiot who shouldn't have been driving in the first place and months of aggravation trying to sort it out.

These people really make me sick. I hope there's some way you can get this sorted sooner rather than later & that the idiot is made to pay for it. Hope you came away unscathed.

Thanks Lofty, I'm fine this time around, that's the main thing.
He's trying to tell me he'll happily call it 50/50 and walk away!
Yeah right, do you think it could be anything to do with the fact that: (a) his car is an old Alpha Romero worth about 400 quid as opposed to my new Lexus at, (shall we just say) a considerable amount more, (b) he drove INTO me causing the collision and (c) he wasn't legally entitled to have been driving the car in the first place? Mmm.

You need to take him to court - go to the Drs and make sure that you mention any symptoms - whiplash can be delayed. A similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago.
