My beautiful big boy is 16 today. The time has whizzed by and he is growing into a lovely young man, he has a lovely nature and knows right from wrong, with a sense of justice, and is gentle and funny. My mum, when I was pregnant, said: "There's no advice I'll give you about being a mum, just Love them and they love you back." And it turns out, like in most things, she was damn right. Best thing I ever did, ever. x

Job well done Helen. Just try to pack them with as much good stuff as you can, can't do anymore than that really. In the end all the Christmas and Birthday presents etc don't mean much. It's the time, love and effort that count.

Just back from a fabulous week in Tenerife with my Mum and daughter. Mum was celebrating her 80th birthday, her first since my dad died last year. Had a wonderful time just swimming, chatting and having the odd beer. All courtesy of the £15,500 I won on The Chase last year!!

So, off out out with the old man tonight, to have cocktails with Posh n Becks (long story, have had to buy heels and everything), so I goes to the barbers for a little shape up yesterday, as you do. Comes in to work this morning and shows my pass to the new security guard on the front desk. "Thank you, sir," he says. Did I go too short? With a cocktail dress and stilettos, will I look like a trannie? xx

No Babysham or Becks, more's the pity. Because then I wouldn't have had to drink loads of free champagne and whisky cocktails, followed by gin, then a bit of red wine, followed by beans on toast at 2 in the morning, which have made me unable to comment further on the subject until this time of day...

Mouth like parrot cage, face like the back of a dog's arse, eyes like piss holes in the snow etc etc etc.

To give Becks his due, he was quite charming, posed for pictures with everyone, was really nice to people's mums, was accompanied by his son and his mum. I wore a gold dress, which may have tipped me over in to the trannie category but in for a penny...x

Ahhh my weekend name...

Happy to hear DVB are still relatively grounded - my mate has a story he never tires of telling - how his family were quequing for a table at some Pizza place - and DVB rolled up - they had been engaged a short while at the time - the 'boss' rolls out to let them queue jump - and they refused - and spent the next half hour signing stuff for folks - then went to a table in a corner and everyone left them in peace to get on with their meal - wouldn't happen nowadays - Est Est Est isn't what it used to be.

Proud mum moment. My son's symphony orchestra played the Albert Hall last night and they were astounding. Not bad for a bunch of comprehensive school teenagers – great advert for championing music teaching for all. x

In line for the Bernie rally! He speaks at 8 PM, people started lining up at 6 AM. :-) I'm at the Wisconsin State Fair grounds, literally right down the street from my house. I walked here. Bernie is in my hood, y'all!!! So handy, in case he needs a place to crash later. :-) Having a great time talking to other people in line, found a bunch of friends from all over town who also came today, and I have rarely been happier. :-)
