There´s nothing more satisfying then crocheting - and I´ve just finished another blanket (looking for a happy smiley that´s jumping up and down)

This one - you need to click the link to view more smilies and you may have to expand the page to see them all.

The other 'hidden' smilies are:

:BEEEER :CAT :@: :alien: :bom: :cheese: :eye: :cyclops: :cyclopsani: :clown: :monkey: :rabbit: :pirat:  :silent: :pr: :pl: :pale: :albino: :santa: :rendeer:

Was listening to 'Tuesday PM' today. Best Hawley track yet I think. Maybe 'happy' isn't the right word. Comforted.

I was 50 on Saturday and find myself sitting in the kitchen, with 10 litres of gin for company. What could my friends be trying to say? And when is the sun over the yardarm exactly? Xx

"The expression is believed to have originated in the north Atlantic where the sun would rise above the upper mast spars (yards) of square sailed ships around 11am. This coincided with the forenoon 'stand easy' when officers would go below and enjoy their first rum tot of the day."

No mention of Gin...so that must mean you can drink it whenever you like.

Thanks Pops, 11am sounds about right. Going to make a concerted effort to consume it by Christmas. Xxx

Paid off my mortgage last week - we sold my dad's house and the money came through which has allowed me to retire early at the end of July. Even more gigs ahoy.... :D :D

Reminds me that back in 2008 we were in the Roisin Dubh Galway for a gig and Richard started with Valentine on Valentines Day - still recall asking a couple of folks how far they had traveled to be told 'we're from Leeds'...

Yesterday I retired after 32 years as a teacher and over 20 years as a head of department. Last lesson was a party with my top set Y9....

I feel like Dr Who about to regenerate. I've got gigs lined up in Paris (RH and John Grant), Dusseldorf (the Rolling Stones), Holland (Take Root Festival and Jason Isbell in Amsterdam) and Josh Ritter in Dublin - all before Christmas.
