I have never watched Comic relief since the year I endured the shite with the promise of that film...the fuckers announced they weren't showing it around 1.30 in the morning...I digress.

What struck me is the fierce words against a pacifist yet none of them interrogate those itching to flivk the switch and asking them what good would comeof it. If we get nuked then we're nuked and nowt is bringing us back. Why would you want to issue orders to do the same to another.mostly innocent popualtion. If nuclear detente works so well why doesn't every country have it? It's evil technology and a waste of money.

There are seven members of the shadow cabinet ready to revolt over him pledging never to press the button on the nuclear holocaust, according to the Telegraph, a prime example of the let's-fuck-him-over pincer movement being orchestrated from right and left. They are running a poll on what people think about it. I'm going to vote, mostly because it would be annoying if the majority agreed with him.

But it is further proof of the madness, chaps, and you're right lovely, it is evil...x

This whole thing just gets funnier... apparently, even Daily Telegraph readers are among the sane! This is from their own website! Who fucking knew? I didn't even get round to doing it...

Hopefully there are lots and lots of people finally opening their eyes and seeing through the bullshit. About time. The worms are turning.

Today is a very good day. Im going with my daughter for her wedding dress fitting. Wedding day, at the end of next month. Sorted out the arrangements for our pre wedding family outing to Brighton to see Mr Hawley. My new kitten slept most of the night, and it's a beautiful crisp, sunny morning. Taking the dog next door, for a walk up in the woods that look spectacular. Do things get any better? No!

A vending-free weekend for me to enjoy the craft fair and farmers' market as a customer! Piping hot spiced apple cider, my trusty cozy cardigan, distinct nip in the air, choosing pie pumpkins, morning walk in the turning leaves--unbeatable! Favorite season; just too too good. :D

Have you read his book, H? Harry's Last Stand. It's a damning criticism of austerity and is a beautiful love letter to the health service and why his generation fought so hard for it. It's like a moment of sharp clarity amidst all the dull blah blah about the welfare state. I just love him. Xxx

I'm just about half way through reading this, Helen. What a lovely man and an excellent book.

Isn't it? And he is very lovely. He has just finished his second book, about how he met his wife while liberating Germany in the Second World War. Love Among The Ruins, I think. And don't know if you're a Facebooker or a Twitterer, but he's a prolific commentator on life and events. And generally an all round gorgeous force of nature too. Don't make 'em like that much anymore. Xxxx
