just mowed the back yard, which in itself is very tedious, but as I was going along through a particularly tall patch of grass, this fella slithered out ahead of me, he then got up into my kumquat tree and stayed there until I was done.

he was, he was very nice, the kids came over and had a look and he just sat there. I was grateful to him for staying in plain sight while I finished mowing...I know he isn't poisonous, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have freaked out if he'd jumped out at me or something.

if he heard the mower coming he'd probably slither out of the way very quickly.

He's beautiful..... doesn't make me any less creeped out though :*: Don't know when I became such a giiirrll, used to handle lizards and things in the desert here my mom's family lived, didn't blink at snakes or spiders, woke up with a poisonous water snake curled up next to my sleeping bag once and just went back to sleep.... now - nah uh, nothing doing, I squeal and flap my hands and everything.... so sad.

Claire... Cancel the house swop idea. Unless you don't mind me staying in Sheffield with you, and me sending Dave and the kids to be eaten by your local wildlife? :?

Further proof that nice girls finish last and some poor sods think love and being treated like shit are synonymous. Oh wait, is that me being bitter? Check.
