As an update to the short series ''Things that the shop should've had but didn't'' I went to Morrison's yesterday. I'd got light bulbs on the list, as I usually buy them there. They weren't in their usual place so I asked an assistant, who immediately took me to the place I'd just looked. She was surprised & asked a colleague. She didn't know either. They asked another colleague. ''Oh, there are none out at the moment - they've been packed away''. The alternative product, on the light bulb shelf, was Easter eggs. Oh well, give it a couple of weeks & I'll be able to buy a pumpkin with a candle in it
How very crap though.

I had a similar issue in our Morrisons with dishwasher salt. It had turned into washing up liquid.

I'd already let them off a week ago when I was looking for a 3-pin plug & they didn't have any. I put that down to new appliances coming with them already fitted though.

Wilkinson's is the nearest thing to a proper hardware store round here. Still pretty good though. And they sell plugs. Rubber - bathroom - 13 amp ones, of course

So, apparently, I'm not too old to get drunk and fall over in the garden at 2.30 in the morning. And take all the skin off my elbows. xx

Haha, that's fantastic. ..> Sorry about the elbow part though. An unfortunate rough landing. I may or may not have managed such a thing myself last summer, a lovely temperate night, a very dizzy 3 AM situation, where I found myself just sort of slowly being pulled by gravity, so very gently, into the dewy grass in front of my house.

Me (after a lot of giggling): Did I fall down?
Friend (worriedly): Um, yes. Yes, you did.
*long pause; possible napping*
Me (still delighted): Cool.

Old people, amirite?

Spent half an hour looking for a particular screwdriver in the garage yesterday. Finally found it on the roof beam. :eh?

Just managed to shut my penknife on the end of my finger. Resulting in a very small cut, completely disproportionate to the amount of fuss I shall be obliged to make about it later. :geek:

Why are modern plasters so utterly, utterly crap? Stick one on & it falls off within ten minutes. Found some ancient fabric plasters in the cupboard & they're far superior.

Thought of a new music genre, featuring really bad wordplay. Pun Rock.

Plasters really aren't what they used to be, are they? They won't stay on longer than five minutes. Whatever happened to the ones that would stay on in the bath & still take your skin off later. And you had to get the remaining glue off your skin with petrol  :*:

Sorry Lofty, my old friend, been to Portugal last couple of weeks, lovely place, lovely people. Wish I was still there but you've got to come home some time.
