think you need to get yourself a nice warm avatar Tim, especially as you're now a 'regular'.

Just had a text from one of the girls who stayed up there, snowing and foggy I gather. Down here in London it's bright, cold but not that cold.

How big's the python?

We fucked up the timer on the bolier over the weekend somehow so the heating didn't come on at all yesterday. Got back from York at about midnight.

Still haven't warmed up!

Cycling to work was a killer - the sort of cold you feel in your fillings. Where I live is above the fog though (or was this morning any road), so it was a lovely crisp day.

Any geographers know why the mini roundabout at the Oakbrook Rd end of Rustlings Road is the coldest place in Sheffield? it's always a good degree or two colder than even the top of the hill.

So what am I going to do?! :*: ... It's alright up here, in comparison to how it's been recently. Bit frosty but OK really.

Lets not complain about the cold and the sunshine - as the other alternative is darkness and rain - we have had far too much of that in the last 6 months.
Driving the 30 miles to Troon this morning the sky was a wonderful colour like an old sunburst guitar going from black to red to orange and then to light blue,(although the guitar would not have the blue) fair stirs the heart such a beautiful morning - as does slipping on the bloody ice on the road that was not gritted - still at least the sunrise was special. Love the fact that I drive to work with the sun rising and back from work with the sky on fire at sunset - west of Scotland sunsets are hard to beat.

Definitely. Love watching the sunset from the rocks with the see all around. Proper magical moments.

How lovely that you managed to do that in the middle of such a hectic week. :D
