Read Richards rant ( am i alliterate?). V good, one problem.
Who the f*ck is who anymore. It seems that the clearly delineated political lines of the past are gone. No more Left and Right just a homogenous mire of self-interest, political correctness, oh and the occassional wiff of corruption. I used to believe that everybody should vote but what happens when you discover theres no bastard left worth voting for.

there needs to be a massive uprising, people need to make themselves known, british gas have 500% increase in profit half a billion or sommat, we just sit about taking it, it's about time people took it/stuck it to the man and made a stand, everyone is on the make other than the common man, our fathers took a stand for what they believed in, now its our turn.

Power To The People
John Lennon

Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Say we want a revolution
We better get on right away
Well you get on your feet
And on the street

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Oh, when your man is working for nothing
You better give 'em what they really own
We got to put you down
When we come into town

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

I'm gonna ask you comrade and brother
How do you treat your own woman back home
She got to be herself
So she can give herself

Singing power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

Oh well, power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people
Power to the people, right on

I'm getting a bit of deja vu with this thread as I seem to remember having a rant on a previous one.

Basically, it'll be a cold day in Satan's furnace before I would ever vote Tory - I worked with the Yorkshire Miners 1992-1995, when the Tories decimated the Coal Mining Industry and threw thousands out of work. For every miner who lost his job, they reckon another two people - who depended on their spending power - lost their livelihoods too. There are parts of Yorkshire that have still not recovered, owing to the cackhanded way the Tories handled it all. I could go on.....and on..... Some of us have long memories.

The question I have is; People does really care?, I mean as a whole people do care?. I Think there is a lot of apathy going on, that's because the Political parties are how they are, and they are allowed into power. If people want to say something they have to do it now!!.

I think there's only apathy because the majority are in relative comfort - only if there's a sudden and drastic economic crash, then things will become umm...'interesting'...politically.

Unfortunately, politics since the '80's has been about the 'self' rather than the 'masses' and it will take one big fucking upset to change that.

No need for protest   ... have you seen how much handbags cost these days!!!

Obviously I'm being flippant. We should never stop being angry, never stop protesting, never stop believing in a better world.

The gap between rich and poor continues to increase; poverty in old age is increasing; class inequality remains; Russia is gearing up for another cold war; our manufacturing industry is shrinking daily; I could write an extensive list if it wasn't all so depressing.
