Has anybody been watching?

Its much better than I thought it would be and there seems to be much more detail than the book - I guess its seeing it in front of you like that that really brings it home to you their living conditions and what they went through :?

I'm finding it quite upsetting but compelling at the same time!

Have you been to the house in Amsterdam? It's quite surreal, seeing the place as it was, with pictures still on the walls - the worst bit is when you go into the last room, though, and see what happened to each individual who was in there.

Excellent programme - 10 year old was clued to it - even caught the 'I'm too grown up to talk to you lot' 14 year old sky plusing it when I came back from work....

The documentary on BBC 4 afterwards was very moving too -
The horrible images of the concentration camps were just awful - we went to Theresienstadt when we went to Prague -at the time it was about -15 degrees and you could imagine how appalling and hopeless it must have been -

one of the best things on the telly for a long time. we were transfixed by the last episode. there was a real air of menace and fear to it and it was heart wrenching when they were walking down the stairs. brilliant tv.

I started crying my eyes out when the dentist fastened Anne's shoes - didn't stop for the rest of the programme - it was very moving.

It's without doubt the most sombre and thought provoking place I've ever visited. I can't think of another place that has moved me so much.

Agreed - when I was there , some years ago now , we were looking at the pictures on the wall and an old chap just burst into tears and ran out - very sad - I'll never forget it.

Very moving........different fates..............I have read Anne Franks Diary.............and I am sure that actually seeing her flat in Amsterdam must be a very emotional experience..............
