I saw it yesterday and thought it was fantastic. I was so into it that I was veryupset that Gordon died...even though I knew from reading the comics he lives until Batman is old
The Joker played by Heath Ledger....makes me cringe at the thought of Nicholson's attempt.

Brilliant film.

supposed to be johnny depp as the riddler and phillip seymour hoffman as the penguin next.

Both good actors but come on, these characters are rather crappy and annoying.

I'm still holding out for a fucked 1960s Julie Christie...

Nolan said he wouldnt do the Penguin as the character wouldnt fit in with the universe he's created for the Batman characters. the riddler might be interesting if they could pull it off realistically and not the gurning. neon-costumed, comic turn of Frank Gorshin or Jim Carrey.

Finally went to see this today... It was brilliant :D Those reviews are ridiculous. Superhero movies were made to be enjoyed, not analysed to death...

Heath Ledger was amazing. He definitely deserves an Oscar. And I liked Michael Caine too :D

Just watched Batman Begins tonight, after having seen The Dark Knight a few weeks ago. Enjoyed both of them quite a bit. Smart superhero pictures, well-cast and well-directed. Having said that, Maggie Gyllenhaal has it all over Katie Holmes.
