For want of something better to think about ... and making literary connections and considering extending my reading list ... I've been trying to think of writers from the same family ... but got to have three of them (two might be too easy) ...

so I've come up with

Mary Wollstonecraft - Vindication of the Rights of Women (married to) William Godwin - philosopher who wrote stuff, and
Mary Shelley - Frankenstein (their daughter)

and then there's the three Bronte sisters

Charlotte - Jane Eyre
Emily - Wuthering Heights
Anne - The Tenant of Wildfell Hall

but can't think of any more .... and to be inclusive thought I'd throw it open to musical families too ... (names plus definitive albums please)

John Cowper Powys 'Ducdame' 'Atlantis' 'Wolf Solent'
Llewelyn Powys 'Apples Be Ripe' bio of Henry Hudson
Theodore Francis Powys 'Soliloquy of a Hermit'

(I haven't read any of them, just knew they were brothers).

Denise - you've got to post with something they've written too ... it's about extending the reading list as well as having to think a bit about it

Bob Dylan...errr, Blood on the Track, to name but one.
Jakob Dylan- son of Bob, musician. Frontman of The Wallflowers and now has a very lovely solo album out. Definitive album was Bringing Down the House, but frankly Breach was much better.
Peter Himmelman - Musician, composer. (married to bob dylan's daughter)
Jesse Dylan- son of bob, director of deep, meaningful films like How High, American Pie and Kicking and Screaming (I do love Will Ferrel).

I'm reading ... I must be bored too :?

... hadn't thought of going the actorly route ... there must be more of them than literary ones ... ... where's exapno when he's needed.

... still think need to put in definitive texts, albums and now films ... and someone's just given me a book about Jane Fonda's politics ... so there's the Fonda dynasty of Henry, Jane, Peter, Bridget ... but what would their definitive performances be? That's much much tougher.

  ... still no ... each one of the triplets would have to have written something of literary worth to be considered.

Oh I love a fresh new colouring book all those virginal, unspoiled pages, almost a shame to get the felt tips out really.
