Aww... That's so sad, but kind of uplifting. Like it.

I think we all take for granted the privilege most of us live in and the fact that (hopefully) we have our health and fully-working senses.
Good film, glad to have seen it. It's made me count my blessings this evening.

It reminded me of my mum who is tragically losing her sight, she was showing me all the lovely plants and flowers in her garden last week......................Jesus Christ knows how she'll cope when that nasty old disease creeps up and takes her eyes for good...................................

Truly a beautiful film. Thanks for sharing that with us Mr. H.

It has reminded me of something that happened last night on my way home on the tube. There were 2 blind men waiting on the platform chatting away very happily together, when there was the usual announcement about staying behind the yellow line when a train comes in to the station. One of them said to the other " Yellow line? I don't really like the colour yellow!" His colleague replied that he much preferred a deep crimson red! They carried on in this vein for a few minutes and it raised quite a few smiles amongst the usual grim faced commuters.

Broke my heart to watch that - my mum lost her sight suddenly last year in the midst of many other problems she had. She manages very well all things considered, but I cry every time I see a rainbow because I know she will never see another one
