I was in a well known music shop the other week and i picked up this film for £3,its a double dvd with dvd 1 being rather obviously the film, dvd 2 is interviews with the various stars of the film + directors etc,the interviews and location shots are fascinating and well worth watching,i got round to watching the film last night, its still a great film imo,Phil Daniels is brilliant, its amazing how many now well known people are in it,Sting,Toyah,Michael Elphick,Tim Spall,Gary Holten. not to forget Leslie Ash,great film. :)

I know which shop you mean Gary! I bought Quadrophenia and The Commitments yesterday for £3 each - I love a bargain! Watched Quadrophenia last night and really enjoyed it, can't believe I've never seen it before - and as you say - lots of famous faces in there as well - Phil Daniels plays a really good part (and so young!). Really evocative of the time as well, although my recollection is more related to Leeds and Blackpool :*:

I went to see it when it came out. The film was a bit of an eyeopener for me. I didn't know much about the Mods & Rockers.

one of my favourite films, i remember my dad being really impressed when i bought it on video. He has the Original soundtrack on vinyl with the picture booklet, a beautiful thing that is.

Was the shop the one with the Dog??

Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

5.15 is just the best, that segment of the film is awesome.

It's the one that's recently changed its name from one silly thing to another and also changed colour from red to green!

Almost perfect film, bar the idea that Sting could in any form ever be fucking 'Cool'.
