I just downloaded this series this week, and it's been really enjoyable.

To cut to the chase, when he was up in Minnesota, I'm thinking it was like December - and he only mentioned how cold it is up here - 'icy Minnesota', 'the frozen cities of St Paul and Minneapolis'... it's not always like that! It was actually like 70 degrees three or four weeks ago, now we're in the minuses, but that's how it is here - someone flips a switch and it's cold, as Richard and the chaps noted when they were here almost exactly a year ago, I think.

Anyway, it's a good series. Doesn't bang on about the American stereotypes and shows what a big, diverse and cultured place this can be - if you haven't seen it, highly recommended.

I enjoyed it, but the often cursory attention paid to certain states made the whole thing feel rushed but I could listen to Fry reading from the Yellow Pages.

I agree - and he did pander to stereotypes in quite a few states (Louisiana?!) , but I suppose that's box office...
