On Wednesday 4th Feb Starting at 9pm There's an Arena on Buddy, the film The Buddy Holly Story & 'Rock Shrines' , a tribute to Holly.
Sky Arts 1 Also have the film & a documentary on Tuesday 3rd Feb.

Cheers for the pre-warning. There was a great interview with Keith Richards about Buddy years ago now where he drawled that "Buddy had it all...........Lucky Devil" and I think he was spot on.

So is RTE going to let us watch this show in England then?

i missed the doc but saw it many years ago that was the bit i was interested but was working............,the film after was shit i saw it when i was a kid and hated it then and it hasn't improved with time,factually and wildly inacurate twaddle,and as for the weirdness after that?nechro oddbods.............i for one just sat and played the records....nuff said

the simple fact that the film didn't even have him playing a strat which he was famous for was enough,i am not being anal it was a huge part of his sound and indeed his look.........just lazy hollywood bollocks........bah
