Did you spot the little homage to "28 days later"? That was quite cool.

The ending was really cold. Gave me goosebumps.

Oh yeah and "Bowie Base One". Nice

Yeah it was a brilliant episode. The first 40 minutes were a traditional base-under-seige storyline of the type that Doctor Who has done since the Hartnell days. But the last 20 minutes were amazing! Quite unsettling and disturbing in places. Looking forward to the Christmas specials now, the 'next time' trailer looked pretty good

I may be middle aged but I still love Dr Who!! Yesterday's episode was fantastic - my girls thought it was too scary to be showed at 7pm and Luce decided she would probably have nightmares.... she didn't. I am just in awe of the near genius talent of the writers... can't wait 'til Christmas...

It was much better than recent episodes but found it a bit too full of references to appreciate it on it's own merits. Interesting what they did with the doctors character, though.

Awww poor little sweetheart, you need to initiate him into the good old Dr Who (Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker) where the costumes are creaky and not recognisably human - might not be so scary for him :?

My Grandad is 83 and he still loves Doctor Who :D

Richard - I think Russell T Davies would be thrilled to hear that your kids were so scared you had to turn it off the evil bastard!

If that freaked them out, they've obviously not met any forum members then.

It was lovely to watch it with my 9 year old nephew who was totally enthralled by it. His face was a picture when they showed a clip of the Christmas episode with John Simm back as The Master. He was quite literally gobsmacked :)
