anyone been watching the new series?? was really impressed with weller last week, never really been into the Jam, or his solo stuff (which may offend some people) , but really liking the new material.
Thought Band Of Horses were fantastic last night. anyone who can wear white jeans, jacket & cowboy hat & not look a twat is a genius.
Plan B wasn't bad either.

Band of Horses were spectacular last night, though I wouldn't want to meet them in the woods at night ;). Any band with beards is ok by me. Can't wait for the new album.
Plan B and Kate Nash can scurry off to where they came from.

Got Horses last album, pretty good although the new stuff sounds a lot heavier..i commented to the missius on how the singer's hair & beard looked cool, she thought he looked a right scruff!
that song Kate Nash did didn't sound too bad until she started singing!

My favourite BOH album is 'Everything All the Time' you must add it to your collection.

Kate Nash, uuufff, just a slight intimation of lyrics other than 'do ah do' wouldn't have gone astray.

get the first album too although I still reckon the last one is the best all the same, its fucking awesome in fact. Missed em on Jools but staying in for the repeat tonight. Also seeing them live the week after I come back from holidays which I'm pretty fuckin excited about it must be said. best band about at the minute I reckon bring on the new record.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

yes, thank god they didn't cut elbow out midsong or start putting the show credits over their playing. Newsnight can wait a bit can't it

Good show, not keen on the jazz though. I'm not a massive jazz fan and they didn't exactly convert me any further - good playing and all but just...yawn, it went nowhere and took a bloody long time, and some rather worried looks from Jools, in order to get there. Ho hum, live tv and all that

Mr Garvey twittered today that they were almost shunted out of their slot - "jooles was in a tricky place there. The slowly unfolding production crew panic was hilarious. We held up newsnight! Result"

that was hilarious :)

I loved that jazz band - the pianist was either completely caught up in the music or completely up his own arse

watched it on the iplayer. Jools' face was a picture when he was trying to get the jazzers to wrap it up, they were still at it when elbow started!
