Was listening to Robert Elms today and he had Seun Kuti on, Fela Kuti's son, he of Afrobeat fame. He was fascinating, really interesting stuff about Nigeria and politics and hip hop. And he's as funky as f**k! Anyway, he's on Jools tonight. (And he's supposed to be a bit gorgeous too – but don't quote me on that, I have queer tastes!)x

Enjoyed him very much... in that lone bearded man with guitar, fresh off the mountain genre, they seem to have one every week.I Liked Fela's son, chip off the old block by the looks, but does he need the women with vibrating bottoms?... how do they do that?

Not bad this week .. yes, I agree about Robbie Robertson's guitar playing, Clive - he's never been the greatest singer has he  but a great guitarist and songwriter.

Loved Josh T Pearson - a real shining light - he has that ability to pull you in and make you listen. Looking forward to seeing him again - just wish I could get to one of the Drive by Truckers gigs where he's the support but the dates don't work unfortunately. I'll just have to wait for the End of the Road festival.

He's also just announced an Evening With Josh T Pearson & Guests @ The Barbican in November which should be interesting... http://www.barbican.org.uk/music/event- ... p?ID=12275

Had tickets for Drive-By Truckers before they announced him as support but am even more super excited about that one now.

Absolutely! Rick Danko too - 'it makes no difference' is one of my favourite Band songs.
