Saw it on TV. Loads on the Internet and they had some in the Tate a while back.

Cool...

If that's proper tilt and shift and not digitally manufactured it's amazing and I'd love to see it.

Just finished this book and loved it!
Highly recommend it! This is the gist....

Alex Woods knows that he hasn't had the most conventional start in life.
He knows that growing up with a clairvoyant single mother won't endear him to the local bullies.
He also knows that even the most improbable events can happen - he's got the scars to prove it.
What he doesn't know yet is that when he meets ill-tempered, reclusive widower Mr Peterson, he'll make an unlikely friend. Someone who tells him that you only get one shot at life. That you have to make the best possible choices.
So when, aged seventeen, Alex is stopped at Dover customs with 113 grams of marijuana, an urn full of ashes on the passenger seat, and an entire nation in uproar, he's fairly sure he's done the right thing . . .

Just finishing this, a super book (I don't think Jenny Uglow could write a bad one) which captures the life of a genius, a man of his time and the environment he lived in. Marvellously evocative about the Tyne Valley - places I know and of course Newcastle. You also get many of the great woodcuts of Bewick which work as a snapshot of the world he encountered. Can't recommed this highly enough

I been reading Charles Mingus's autobiography 'Beneath the Underdog' which is great. And 'King Lear' by some bloke called William Shakespeare which is also not bad!

I've got the two Owen Jones' books on the Kindle and there's a new Vivian Maier tome coming out next month which is on order.
