Yeah, I love that book. I love most of his stuff.

One of the greatest books I have ever read is "The Grapes of Wrath", about the migration of intinerant workers from the dustbowl to California in the 1930s. Amazing book.

This is a fantastic book, especially for those of us who were growing up in the 70s. It has been made into a TV series which starts next Wednesday. Not sure which channel.

'What a Carve Up' and 'House of Sleep' are also damn fine books also by Jonathon Coe. the follow-up to 'The Rotter's Club' is out now in HB.

the TV series is on BBC2.

currently reading:
The Discovery of Slowness by Sten Nadolny

would recommend anything by David Mitchell.

Must get myself a copy of the book about Keith Moon. Did read one earlier in my life imaginatively entitled "Moon the Loon", which seemed to concentrate on the wildest of antics. The one that always stuck with me was him defrocking in a posh london Restaraunt and jumping from table to table dipping his knob in Paul McCartney and George Harrison's soup. :D

I sincerely hope you will be out for a more enjoyable reason than me. I will be missing the first episode because I will be sat in a hotel in Watford  being bored senseless by a load of men in suits   talking shop.    :CENSORED :BANGHEAD :(

Oh, and our video recorder is on the blink.

I hope it will be more enjoyable, I am going to see 'American Music Club'. Can't record it because we have cable and you can only record the programme you are watching (stupid system)| and there's no way my son will be watching that whilst I'm out! :?

Watford eh? Poor you
