I was expecting more from it, both in terms of story and the number of episodes.

I felt the last two episodes were a bit too graphic and I thought there should have been a bit more comedy than just when the rival gang got involved.

This is England 88- surprised its not been mentioned on here. This was an amazing series, very bleak, had me in floods at least twice an episode, oh and it had some of the most touching scenes i've seen on television for time. Lorl talking to the nurse about the abuse and visiting the prison, what superb acting i had tears rolling down my cheeks. Please let there be another series i really need to know what happens to them. Oh and to top it all Fionn Regan 'Drogwood Blossom' in the last scene. Can i gush anymore? xx

I reckon the acting is superb all round. Aside from the lead actors (who are all brilliant) the actress that plays Shaun's girlfriend is well funny/good. When she caught him in bed with the other girl and she started calling her "a jam tart" - that was my favourite bit of the whole thing.

I watched all three episodes in one sitting.. thought it was superb, you just don't get quality TV like this very often. Made me laugh and cry in equal measure, * and Woody brilliant (he's in Misfits at the moment too) the scene at the prison really moving, she is a brilliant actress..
