I like the way he works a crowd - gets them laughing at something contentious - expands upon it - the laughter dies away - takes it even further - the laughter turns to a communal sharp intake of breath and general disdain...

In two years time we will all think it 'tame' - at that point he'll bring in Craig and Dave as his gag writers...

I wasn't surprised he had a go at Katie Price, and besides she thrives on any media attention but i think it well below the belt having a pop at her 10 year old disabled son. I watched the programme and it wasn't that funny, he's a lot funnier when he's guesting on panel shows or when he knows he has to tone it down somewhat. of course you can just switch off if he really offends.

I agree cpaws, usually like him but I thought this programme was just embarrassingly bad... just not very good and not what I would have expected from him.. sketch shows are always a bit rubbish, unless you're paul whitehouse of course !!! he should've stuck to mock the week !!!

Love Paul Whitehouse. And I think he's a bit gorgeous as well which is probably quite wrong!

Anyhow, I have a friend who has a severely autistic son and she's fuming about it. She has a really hard life caring for her family and she's strong and brave and always does the best for her boy. And he's learned to speak and swim and make friends. And she does take the piss out of him and her situation, and have a good laugh about the more uncomfortable parts about her situation. But Frankie Boyle is just a nasty fucker. I watched his show and, whilst you might laugh at the first few jokes, after that you just think it must be so wareing having such a nasty view of humanity. x

He's very very funny and his timing's perfect but some things, like disability, should be left alone full stop.

Plenty other things he could be having a funnier and more relevant pop at without resorting to that.

On another note, Tramadol's the business :D

See, I didn't know who he was so I had to look him up. Mr Jazz Nice. Does nothing for me but that's probably just as well cos top of my guilty pleasure list is Rod the God. A man clearly in his prime...

I've been at work 10 hours today and counting – you can tell I'm getting slightly hysterical. x

Mine's Lee Mack, especially when he does his Eric Morecambe impression. :D

I think you've posted that pic of Rod before..... he was definitely sexy in his prime... although i could have done without the extremely small budgie smugglers !!! I also have a soft spot for Steve Coogan.. not as Alan Partridge though!! :*:

I do have this picture as my screen save at work. Find the pube/pants ratio generally tends to put off unwanted visitors! All the people who want to chat about X-Factor/Strictly/Coronation St-EastEnders deaths, all stay away in the face of Rod and his tremendous tackle. Promise I won't post it again but was feeling ever so slightly mad on Friday as I did an eleven hour day. I'll keep this vision of his Rod-ness purely in my head from now on...! x
