sadly passed away today. He was one of my favourite directors. I mean... Serpico, 12 Angry Men, Dog Day Afternoon, The Verdict... I could go on, one of the great of 20th Century Cinema without a shaddow of a doubt..

I've only seen Dog Day Afternoon, but I thought it was one of the best films I've ever seen.

Mr. Lumet was a very talented filmmaker. His adaptation of A Long Day's Journey into Night is excellent.
