Anyone watch it?
Highlights for me were Imelda May, Betty Wright (Stole the show), Ruby Turner, Pokey Lafarge, Gregory Porter and althought cringeworthy to watch, Cyndi Lauper was quite good!

Pokey LaFarge were fab, I'd love to see them live.
And Betty Wright - man!!!! I was belting out 'Clean Up Woman' at about 60 decibels, anyone would think I'd had a glass of wine :D
Cyndi - oh dear, she looked like Bette Davis tangled up in a catapult in those cobwebby tights.
Imelda May was /is just stunning, I wanted to be her 'til Sandie Shaw stole the show, the voice has gone a bit but bloody hell talk about sexy older woman!
And I loved watching Jesse J watching Sandie, you could tell she was completely star struck.

Yeah Jessie J seemed in awe of Sandie and Betty too. wasnt that fussed over Sandie Shaw, actually thought it was K.T. Tunstall at first until the camera zoomed in on her face...she was proper pissed tho and i reckon she might have gone home with James Morrison by the looks of things!

You'll have to ask Richard what the beard protector is all about. Someone must've asked him. When they'd had one too many. I talked to him in the pub after that Carole King thing but I was on the wagon. If I had been partaking in the odd gin, I might have asked him meself, or at least lots of questions about other parts of his clothing... x

I was so pleased to see Sandie Shaw back on stage. Went to see her at the Mean Fiddler back in the eighties and she didn't turn up! I'm a big fan, and true her voice isn't what it was but what a stage presence, love her! And of course Imelda May was, as ever wonderful but I thought the show itself was a little too heavily weighted with that big old soul diva/Soul man vibe. I don't mind that style but seemed a little too much.

The show had a retro feel about it, but I enjoyed it very much. Jessie J is like a young version of Sandy Shaw, well they have the same hair.

I watched it last night on the i-player and was underwhelmed by it. Felt the only bright/lively spark were The Vaccines.
